Jerusalem, Israel — May 26, 2015 … Senior legal staffers at the International Criminal Court confirmed today that the firing of rockets from Gaza into Israel were blatant, transparent war crimes.

At least 5 missiles from Gaza targeted Israeli cities and towns today with one rocket landing near Ashdod some 20 km (12 miles) north of the Gaza border.

The Prime Minister’s Office ordered attorneys for the State of Israel to file additional complaints with the International Criminal Court in The Hague against the Palestinians – Mahmoud Abbas, Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

As the lawyers were preparing to file papers for tomorrow morning, law clerks at the ICC stated off the record that war crimes were commited today and that the true victims were Israeli civilians. They stated that there is a very fine distinction between facts and propaganda and that they welcomed Israel’s legal complaints.

Amnesty International recently released a 63-page report stating: “Palestinian armed groups committed war crimes by indiscriminately firing rockets at civilians in Israel during the conflict between Israel and Hamas last summer.”

“Palestinian armed groups, including the armed wing of Hamas, repeatedly launched unlawful attacks during the conflict, killing six and injuring civilians,” said Philip Luther, director of Amnesty’s Middle East and North Africa Program.

“In launching these attacks, they displayed a flagrant disregard for international humanitarian law and for the consequences of their violations on civilians in both Israel and the Gaza Strip,” Luther said.

The Amnesty report confirms Israeli allegations that Palestinians had fired rockets from civilian areas.

“There are credible reports that, in certain cases, Palestinian armed groups launched rockets or mortars from within civilian facilities or compounds, including schools, at least one hospital, and a Greek Orthodox church in Gaza City,” the report says.

A senior source at the Prime Minister’s office told the INA: “Israel will respond to these terror attacks. We will respond in an intelligent and effective manner in a time and place of our choosing.”

“We will make sure that the ICC has more than enough evidence to illustrate to the global public who are the terrorists and who are the victims. This is not a war over land. This is the same war that ISIS is waging – it is a Jihad, a holy war against Jews and Christians.”

Thousands of Israeli civilians were affected by today’s Palestinian terror attacks. Many were treated for trauma as local authorities cancelled school classes throughout Israel’s southern region.
